Abstract

The author comments on the paper "Japan's Security Policy in East Asia." He expresses that South-East Asian leaders are hesitant to accept Japan's security policy fearing that the country could repeat the World War II experience. The author cites that the country has contributed to the region's economic development through aid, investment and trade.
