Groundwater vulnerability assessment and mapping important current issues in groundwater protection.

Information about several papers discussed at a symposium sponsored by the Polish Chapter of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) on Groundwater vulnerability assessment and mapping is presented. The program focused on several topics including vulnerability assessment methods and uncertainty, and design, uses and limitations of vulnerability maps in a GIS format with special emphasis on karst aquifers. Two excursions were also included with a post-conference tour to salt mines and national parks.
