9. COLORATION.

The section of "Textile Floorcoverings" focuses on the growth of the textile industry with the advancements of dyeing process in the carpet manufacturing in 1970s. It is observed that the technological innovations in dyeing have accelerated the quality of textile fabrics. In the beginning of the decade winch-dyeing in solid colours was a popular technique in the manufacturing process. The decade experienced various differential-dyeing techniques such as multicolour dyeing and random coloration. Space-dyeing techniques became popular in Europe where as the U.S. pursued the random piece-coloration methods.
