Abstract
- The article focuses on U.S corporate management and how companies develop leaders. Using American Express' chief executive officer Ken Chenault as an example, the article describes how companies design leadership-development programs. These corporate programs also produce prominent entrepreneurs as businessmen such as Microsoft Corp.'s Steve Ballmer, eBay's Meg Whitman, and Intuit founder Scott Cook emerged from Procter & Gamble's management program.
