Abstract

The article reports on the strategies employed by hotels in the economy sector in the U.S. to lure business travelers and encourage repeat customers. It relates that economy hotels have to devise a service program that balances facility features and amenities to keep the guests coming. Moreover, it cites the five criteria identified by economy lodging executives to establish a consistent service level for the business traveler. Furthermore, the article discusses the five criteria which include the Wireless-Fidelity connections, continental breakfasts, high-quality bedding, free telephone service, and interior hallways.
