Abstract

The article presents an interview with filmmaker Milos Forman. When asked about why he was surprised at the success of his film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," which established him as a director, he said that he was apprehensive of its success because the other American film he made was a flop. He said the film represented hundreds of thousands of young people in Czechoslovakia who lived behind the barbed wire. He said that he has some projects in mind, but has not made any decisions yet.
