Abstract
- The article reports on the three-dimensional website "Second Life" created by Philip Rosedale, and the real-life problems that arise from a virtual world. Corporate advertisers such as Reebok and Toyota are advertising on Second Life since a majority of Internet users by 2011 will have a virtual world presence. U.S. Congress has to decide whether to tax the seven million dollars of transactions that have changed hands. INSET: Virtual Dilemmas.
