Who are the ‚Boyz in the Hood‛? Gewalt, Geschlecht und Ethnizität in urban music Videoclips.

The article presents the author's views on issues related to violence, sex and ethnicity in urban music video clips in Germany. According to the author, if one speaks about sexualized and sexual violence presentations in music videos, hip-hop and above all Gangsta Rap stand in the centre of criticism for their sexism, homophobia and their explicit willingness for violence.
