Abstract
- The article focuses on diabetes-related autoantibodies (DRA) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). It says that autoantibodies against pancreatic β-cell antigens precede the clinical onset of type 1 diabetes. It accounts the impairment of the acute insulin response to intravenous glucose in women with GDM with positivity for islet cell autoantibodies (ICA) and normal glucose tolerance after delivery.
