Abstract

The article discusses the discovery of the fragments during the excavations on the North Slope of the Akropolis conducted by Oscar Broneer and on the American School of Classical Studies from 1931 to 1939 in Athens, Greece. Results of the excavations revealed that the fragments were pieces of broken sculpture which wer attributed to the Erechtheion frieze based on the technique, material, style, and scale. The fragments include ten pieces of draped figures, a female head, two human feet, a figure in a chariot, and a horse's leg that were published by Patricia Boulter in 1970.
