Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization: The 2006 Annual Revision.

The article focuses on the revisions to the index of industrial production and the related measures of capacity and capacity utilization made by the U.S. Federal Reserve Board. The said revision affected the data from 1972 to October 2006. The updated measures of production, which incorporate the Census Bureau's 2004-2005 Annual Surveys of Manufacturers (ASM), show slightly lower annual levels of output than previously estimated.
