Abstract

The article presents the results of a study on the impact of multicomponent medical quality improvement (QI) intervention on adherence with 13 measures of diabetes care. The findings of the study suggests that independent primary care practices participating in a QI project involving performance reports, occasional practice site visits and annual network meetings can improve the extent to which their patients with diabetes receive recommended monitoring and treatments.
