Abstract

The article offers information about Des Moines, Iowa. The land has a record of 177,965 population as of the fiscal year of 1960. As reported, insurance is a way of life in Des Moines, considering that all its people are insured against all disasters including fire, flood, theft, accident, hog cholera, and crop failure. Caution is also allegedly the watchword all over town. However, its people are described to be crazier about corn than they are about insurance.
