Abstract

The article discusses a trip made by Maria Eva Duarte de Peron, the wife of Argentinian president Juan Peron, to Rome, Italy. Argentina has supplied post-fascist Italy with wheat and loans. Thousands of Romans cheered for Peron outside of her hotel room where 27 anti-fascists were arrested because of a riot. Juan Peron has proposed that Latin Americans campaign to reduce the terms of Italy's peace treaty with Allied countries.
