Abstract

The article presents information on legal developments in marketing relative to the regulation of price competition. In reference to price discrimination, the case of Exquisite Form Brassiere Inc. v. Federal Trade Commission is presented. The legal system's findings involving Section 2 of the Robinson-Patman Act are reported. A second case involving the alleged conflict of state and federal law, State of Wisconsin v. Texaco Inc., is presented. A third case involving the Swanee Paper Corporation is presented and also centers on a contentious element of the Robinson-Patman Act.
