Abstract
- The article analyzes the potential future evolution of the labor force in Canada. Labor force refers to the pool of workers available for employment in a population. It was projected that the inevitable decline in the overall labor force participation rate is a consequence of low birth rate and aging of the population. The continued increase in the participation rate of older people has the potential to delay the decline in the overall participation rate.
