Abstract

The article presents information on two symposiums that discussed issues related to the Kyoto Protocol conference on global warming. The International Symposium on the Greenhouse Controversy, held in Leipzig, Germany concluded that the emission control policies deriving from the Kyoto conference lack underlying scientific analysis. Another symposium, featuring statistician and sceptical environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg, noted that even with limited budget, the Kyoto Protocol is not worthwhile.
