Data is broken down for boys and girls and both groups reportedly consume too much salt and sugar. Fruit and vegetable consumption levels from a cited study state that the average child eats between 2.4 and 3.1 portions daily. Vitamin and mineral consumption is evaluated. The need for exercise, smart eating habits and nutrition education among children are covered.
