Abstract

Leishmaniasis is an endemic disease in the south of Mexico with great zoonotic potential. Recently, there have been cases reported in the south of USA with zymodemes frequently isolated in endemic zones in Europe. This work describes a case of canine visceral leishmaniasis in a dog that was brought from Spain to Mexico three years ago. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
