The article profiles Benjamin Bonavida, an Immunology professor at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine in California. His earlier research at UCLA were mostly about the mechanism of cell-mediated cytotoxicity. But during the last 10 years, his research focused on the immunobiology of cancer, specifically on the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance of tumor cells to cytotoxic stimuli.
