Abstract

The article highlights a study on the correlation between feeding rate and development in Drosophila (D.) melanogaster. It says that eight populations of D. melanogaster were selected for the study in which four were for faster development and early reproduction. It has been found that reduced larval feeding rate is a strong evolutionary correlate of faster development in Drosphila.
