Abstract

This article presents world news briefs for the week of May 22, 1950. President Harry Truman vowed to keep the public informed of all the activities of the government, by addressing citizens directly, through television and radio, during his campaign. President Truman appointed Leon Keyserling as chairman of his Council of Economic Advisors. The Supreme Court has decided to uphold maintain the non-Communist oath provision of the Taft-Hartley Act.
