Abstract

The author reflects on the effects of DVD's in modern technology. He said that when DVD first arrived, consumers were not only familiar with demand-led and domestic viewing but also with several forms of interactivity because of the increasing ubiquity of media including the World Wide Web and digital games. He added that DVD's introduced the idea that traditional non-directional cinema was just one component of movie technology.
