Abstract

The article focuses on the use of a rate model to assess the risk of decompression sickness (DCS) in humans. Humans and large animals demonstrate kinetic similarity of DCS. According to a study, rats weighing less than 200 grams were highly resistant to DCS. Sensitivity to DCS increased between 250 and 300 grams rats.
