Abstract

The article reports on the sexual behavior of women who are HIV-positive and in either new or long-term relationships. The participants were also evaluated according to the HIV antiretroviral therapy (ART) effects on their sexual choices. The overall results showed that all women who felt ART is not protective, reported more consistent condom use versus, those who felt the therapy was protective. It is believed that continued support is necessary for sexual risk reduction for HIV-positive women.
