Abstract

The article offers views on the transatlantic open aviation agreement between the U.S. and European Union (EU). According to the author, the liberalization of access restrictions on the U.S.-EU negotiations would create reciprocal compromise proposals which could either be one-sided. He asserts that the removal of market restrictions would involve cabotage which U.S. airlines and their workers oppose.
