Abstract

The article reports on a study which investigates the success of repertory grid technique in measuring a known stable aspect of personality functioning. According to the researchers, the experimental evidence is consistent in showing high reliability in normal subjects as measured by Hysteroid/Obsessoid Questionnaire (HOQ). They reveal that in paralleling the HOQ, the repertory grid containing hysteroid/obsessoid traits is devised. The study reveals that the repertory grid did not perform satisfactorily as a questionnaire in the case. The study points out that using repertory grid in measuring the personality trait is unnecessarily tortuous.
