Abstract

Oxidation of triterpenes resulting from E. resinifera, E. officinarum, and their derivatives, using chromic anhydride (CrO3) and the system NaIO4-(RuCl3,3H2O), gives carbonyl triterpenic compounds with high chemioselectivity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
