Abstract
- The article reports that the Red Storm computer, built by Cray Inc. at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, received a $15 million upgrade which has increased its speed from 41.5 to 124.4 teraflops. According to Bill Camp, director of Computers, Information and Math Center at Sandia, Red Storm is the best in the world in terms of scalability.
