Abstract
- The article focuses on a study commissioned by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) which revealed that almost a third of the products found in the grocery cart of the average shopper are private label goods. This study, which was presented by association president Brian Sharoff during the PLMA annual trade show in Chicago, Illinois, also showed that 41% of respondents were frequent buyers of store brand items and that seven out of ten agreed that private label products are better than national counterparts.
