Abstract
- The article reports on the passage of a law in Spain allowing transsexuals to officially modify their name and gender on documents without undergoing sex-change operation first. Pedro Zerolo, spokesperson for social affairs in the Popular Party, said that the law would include Spain in the list of countries such as Great Britain whose Gender Recognition Act eased restrictions on transsexuals in 2004.
