Abstract
- The article discusses the architectural design of the jewelry store owned by Canadian jewelry designer John Hardy at Bali in Ubud, Indonesia. The jewelry store is built entirely of bamboo and alang-alang grass. It is housed in 470 sq. ft. building called Kapal Bambu, which means "ship of bamboo." The building has two thatched 42ft. high walls to allow the natural sunlight to enter. The design of the store, stated to be unique has been designed by Malaysian architect Cheong Yew Kuan.
