Abstract
- This article discusses the planned visit of U.S. President George W. Bush to Latin America. President Bush is heading off on March 8, 2007 on a week-long visit to Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico. The visit is an attempt to restore relations and counter the growing influence of leftist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. It presents information on the initiatives President Bush will bring to region. The region's growing trade with China makes it less dependent on U.S. foreign aid.
