Abstract: The article discusses the high-tech company Symbol Technologies. From 2001-2004 the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission investigated Symbol after anonymous reports that some insiders were inflating sales. The company's then chief executive officer (CEO) Tomo Rasmilovic fled to Europe. In 2007 Motorola purchased Symbol for $3.9 billion and announced the research and development team will be left mostly intact.
