Abstract

The article focuses on a study which compares tibial bone strength between boys and girls who participated in school-based program of physical activity. Boys who attended the program have a greater increase in bone strength index than those who did not attend it. They also have a greater increase in strength strain index. The study concluded that a physical fitness program of improves bone mineral at the distal tibia in prepubertal boys.
