Abstract

The article discusses the American Cancer Society's (ACS) guidelines for the use of the prophylactic human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine for the prevention of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer. It also provides a summary of policy and implementation issues and a discussion of the implications for screening.
