Abstract

The article provides information on the results of a research on the differention of human CD34<superscript>+</superscript> progenitor cells into foam cells and endothelial cells induced by platelets. It was found that modified low density lipoprotein is picked up by platelets and accumulated in organelles containing mepacrine. It says that platelets affixed with Dil-AcLDL are fastly internalized into foam cells as presented by electron and fluorescence microscopy.
