Abstract

The article focuses on the McKinney Green Building in McKinney, Texas. The building has got the Platinum Core & Shell pre-certification of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design due to its energy-efficient features. The building has a solar power system including 152 solar modules. Each module has individual power rating of 300W. Each cistern is capable to store around 9,000 gallons of water which is used for the irrigation of drought-tolerant plants around the building.
