The Sage of Abiquiu.

The author relates her experience of meeting American artist, Georgia O'Keeffe in 1980 when she visited her for an interview on Alfred Stieglitz. She remembers that O'Keeffe was not interested in theoretical or abstract questions. Sometimes she answered questions so curtly that there was no reason to push further. When asked why she had put Stieglitz's name in her painting, The Radiator Building at Night, her reply was simply because she had to put something there.
