Abstract
- Recent decisions by the ECJ have brought the relationship between hospital care and the freedom to provide services into the spotlight. It should, however, not be overlooked that national rules on hospital care may also conflict with the freedom of establishment. This paper aims to illustrate to which extent such conflicts may arise and whether the justification of relevant national rules is possible. Specific examples of national rules are drawn from the legal orders of Austria and the UK. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
