Abstract

The article provides information on the result of a focus group study called the Tourism and Hospitality Studies in Central Asia, which is to modernize the curriculum in the field of tourism and hospitality through the development of an e-readiness model for higher education institutions. Based on the findings, the session has pinpointed that institutional policies and strategies has enhanced significant elements in the implementation and elaboration of online practices including access to Internet, technical resources and provision of infrastructure. Moreover, it has also confirmed that administrators have a role to play in facilitating and improving the capacity of teachers and students in the learning process.
