Abstract: The article provides updates on the programs of American Society of Naturalists. Society for the Study of Evolution, the Society of Systematic Biologists, and the American Society of Naturalists 2007 joint meeting will be held in New Zealand. The Young Investigators' Prizes honors outstanding and promising work by investigators who received their doctorates in the three years preceding the application deadline.
