Abstract

The article discusses why the U.S. Department of Defense ended up with a shortage of armored vehicles for its soldiers in Iraq. U.S. Army Specialist Thomas Wilson questioned U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld recently why soldiers are being sent to war vehicles so vulnerable that troops must forage for rusted scrap metal and compromised ballistic glass.
