Abstract

The article discusses risks faced by companies with international trade activities. Though international trade offers huge potential for corporate growth and increased profits, it also requires businesses to comply with international trade regulations that can cause unforeseen problems and huge fines. One of the most common methods to mitigate regulation related risks is to use customs brokers that file entry paperwork with United States customs. A list of common import/export errors is included. INSET: Building a Compliance Infrastructure.
