Abstract: The article presents information related to various developments in the field of natural history in the United States. The 2007 annual meetings of the American Society of Naturalists will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand on June 16-20, 2007. Applications are invited from investigators for the Young Investigators' Prizes which recognize outstanding and promising work by investigators who received their doctorates in the three years preceding the application deadline or who are in their final year of graduate school.
