Abstract

The article presents Hex, invented by Piet Hein of Denmark and introduced at Niels Bohr's Institute for Theoretical Physics in Copenhagen, is a mathematical game. It is played on a diamond-shaped board made up of hexagons. The goal is to block the opponent by completing an unbroken chain of pieces. Hex was previously played as Polygon and John.
