Abstract
- The article offers information on the controversies that surround Prime Minister Harold Wilson. It was noted that the Prime Minister would call an election in June 1974 before memory of benefits gained had shortened, and the current truce between the Government and trade unions had been bogged down by new wage demands. Moreover, the troubles over the alleged highly profitable land speculations previously carried out by members of his personal staff caused the election to be moved to October.
