Abstract
- The article describes the case of aluminum phosphide self-poisoning in the state of Haryana, India, in which the toxic effects were complicated by intravascular hemolysis probably caused by glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. The case involved a 22-year-old man who presented to the emergency ward after suicidal ingestion of one gram of aluminum phosphide.
