The article reports on the intention of Chinese intelligence agents to absorb Mike O'Dwyer, an Australian ballistics specialist who invented a high-speed gun that would provide China with a new advanced warfighting capability. O'Dwyer produced the electronic firing mechanism called Metal Storm. Chinese agents offered O'Dwyer $100 million to move to China and begin work on the gun for the People's Liberation Army.
