Abstract
- The article comments on the paper "What the New Archaeology Has Accomplished," by Richard A. Watson in this issue. The author questions whether induction, including the covering-law and statistical-relevance versions discussed by Watson, is the most helpful methodological framework for archaeologists. It would appear that to replace the inductive vision with one more relevant to archaeology would be better.
